Funciton 

  • Studies have shown that two marigold extracts, lutein, and zeaxanthin, can relieve eye fatigue caused by prolonged exposure to blue light. 20% of consumers are familiar with lutein, but many of them People equate lutein with eye health. In fact, lutein can not only filter blue light and help protect people of all ages from blue light damage but also can be used as a nutritional intervention ingredient to prevent eye health problems such as age-related macular degeneration.
  • Can promote skin health. Marigolds may play a role in improving the appearance of your skin. A small study of 21 adults found that a topical cream with marigold extract might help make skin firmer and more hydrated. There was also a very slight improvement in the elasticity of the skin. But more research is needed.
  • Promote wound healing. Plant compounds in marigolds, such as flavonoids and saponins, may help prevent your body from releasing enzymes that cause inflammation and sensitivity. Calendula also contains other active ingredients that have anti-inflammatory properties, such as triterpenoids.
  • Treatment of venous leg ulcers. Marigold (Calendula officinalis) extract is an effective treatment for venous leg ulcers, researchers say. In one study, 72% of participants treated with calendula extract had complete wound healing.
